Since moving from Chicago over two decades ago, Monica Stevens has become one of Napa Valley’s most respected and revered wine professionals. From 2009 to 2021, she and her late husband David operated the influential 750 Wines, offering custom tastings and a tightly curated selection of rare, niche, and soon-to-be cult bottlings. Showcasing Monica and David’s peerless hospitality and deep connections, 750 Wines “transformed the Napa Valley’s high-end wine retail scene” (Napa Valley Features). Impressed by the shop, critic Robert Parker even called Monica “the most connected person I know in Napa.” In 2023, she opened Studio 750.
A passionate philanthropist and animal-lover, Monica also serves as President of Jameson Humane (originally Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch), which she and David founded in 2014. The same year, they launched WineaPAWlooza, an annual weekend-long wine auction that has raised over $15 million for Jameson Humane. Now one of the most anticipated events on the Napa Valley calendar, WineaPAWlooza attracts world-class chefs, top collectors, and Napa Valley’s finest vintners and winegrowers.
Sep Pirchner
In a business known for attracting people from all over the world, Napa Valley native Sep Pirchner is a rarity. Raised just a few miles from Studio 750, Sep has worked with Monica since 2010, when he joined her and David at their nascent shop 750 Wines. After more than 15 years of tasting and working with some of the world’s finest wines, Sep has become one of the most knowledgeable experts in Napa Valley, especially on the subject of top-end Cabernet.

A native of North Dakota who moved to San Francisco in 1975 and Napa Valley in 1995, David touched every aspect of the local wine industry before passing away in 2023. He began his career as a bartender at the famed Tra Vigne restaurant, eventually running their legendary wine program. In 2003, he co-founded ACME Fine Wines in St. Helena. In 2006, while making a delivery to Cliff Lede’s Poetry Inn, David met Monica, who had recently moved to the area and taken a job at the Inn. They were married in 2008 and opened 750 Wines together in 2009.
At 750 Wines, David was a generous resource for wine lovers, offering intimate tastings and limitless access to his deep knowledge and connections. Also an avid proponent of animal welfare and a skilled musician who played bass in the Napa band WRISTROCKET, David was an exemplary citizen of Napa Valley who left an indelible mark on its wine community. Studio 750 would not exist without him.
